My new baby after my handphone Posted by Hello

Finally got my watch

Tuesday Kai told me he had to Sim Lim to purchase some rams and asked me if I wana go eat suan la mian. Met him at Bugis around 4.45. After he got his rams, we went to eat. After our meal, Kai wanted to go eat Rochor tau huey. Reached there sat awhile and saw many people driving by and buying take aways. Later he decided to go the Korean supermarket located at Burlington Square. Spent around 10mins just looking at the drinks. He finally decided to try a RICE drink. I tried abit and the taste was weird.

I decided to look at the watches opposite Burlington. Went many shops either nothing was my liking or expensive. Finally sold a chrome g-shock which looked very nice, and price was $108. The lady told me previously was $118. So i bought it and had the strap altered. After that went Bugis to walk around before heading home

Monday Kai was craving for Mee Siam, so met him at Parkway. Earlier on he had his medical checkup at Paya Lebar Airbase. He told me all the examinations done on almost every part of the body. The doctor event commented on his face. I wondered what does his face got to do with his piloting abilities. Maybe appearing in an AirForce advertisement LOL. Hope he could pass this medical and be selected. After our meal we walked around, then decided to go Giant. AT Giant we bought some food, then Kai noticed a group of 6-7 KOREAN ladies and started stalking them. He was attracted to the way they were talking. An Yung Ha Sae Yoo Hum Sa Uper MUSIC LOL.

On our way to NTUC, he saw a medium setting up an altar and performing some stunts. We stood to see what was happening. The guy was around 40s, dressed in black and claimed he was from Thailand his chinese wasn't fluent. He claimed that his master was related to the Thai PM. The funny thing was, if you want to strike 4D you got to be beaten by him HAHHAHA.

Timothy called to play pool at 9, as Rishee got his driving license today. We went to have our dinner at the hawker centre. Went to classic earlier and happened to saw Fusheng and his friend playing, chatted awhile before Timothy and co came. Well performance was not too bad, won a few games later left and reached home at around 11.30.

Chill Out

After working on Friday, Dan said he , Fusheng and Long wanted to have dinner at my place. They were watching iRobot at PS. I jio Ah Kai, but he was on his way home. On my way home, bought dinner for my mum and sis. I had a small packet of char siew rice. At around 945 they reached my hawker centre. They decided to go classic to play pool.

Timothy called me on the way asking me out to play pool, but declined him. Reached classic, damn the place was crowded so was 6th on waiting list. SO decided to go McDOnalds for some ice-cream. A while later they called, so fusheng accompany Dan as he was having his meal. My performance was lousy don't know why. Met Rishee, Audrey and their friends at classic. Around 11pm Long left to fetch his mother. We continued to play until 1am.

We decided to walk till Geylang, so they could save $$$ by taking the night rider. Fusheng called his brother and would fetch them in an hour time. Decided to grad a bite so recommended the prata open by Rishee's uncle to our surprised saw them there. After our meal walked to my hawker centre while waiting for Fusheng's brother.

I clocked around 1hour for the journey on foot. LOL

Just now went to have supper with Sandi and Kayming. Today Kayming just book out and was some time since i last saw him. We decided to have Rochor tau huey. I think its much better than Yong He near Geylang Lor 9. Found something interesting about the stall and the pig organ stall.

ALong these 2 stalls, there are tables denoated by red and yellow colour. I can't remember which belongs to which. Red belongs to the tau huey while yellow belongs to pig organ soup. If you sit on the yellow table and order from the pig organ stall they will provide a free drink. If you order from the pig organ stall but sit on the red table, you will not get a free drink. I think this war is stupid as both are doing differnet business.

We sat for like nearly 2hrs listening to Kayming talking about army life and Sandi's poly life. Kayming's Sgt is rather strict guess on a minimum, he had to pump around 200++ times. After our meal we headed home

I am half-dead

This whole week had been rather tired was working. I was helping out with Spikey's uncle who setup offices. The office is located at HarbourFront Tower 1 15th floor. The company is called NYK SHIPMANAGEMENT, a Japanese logistics and mega-carrier provider.

On Tuesday, met up with Spikey, Shah and Yong Kai. Went to the office, but was empty as work had not started. The office is HUGE about the size of half a football field. At 15th floor, the view is magnifcent. You can see Mount Faber at the north, HabourFront, Tangjong Pagar Terminal east and Sentosa and neighbouring islands on the south. The goods were nicely stacked near the lift. Our job was to remove the tables from the packging, load 10 of them on a trolley before placing them at the pillar. Each table weights about 20++kg, 1.5m by 1.5m and need a min of 2 people to carry. We moved a total of 134 tables, that more than a tonne. While opening up the boxes, i cut my hand many times.

Wednesday, Spikey had benn enlisted and Shah not coming, so Kiat Loon and Yi Ming came to joined me. Today we were to put wire support and rubber feet on the brackets of the table. While we worked, others were doing the cabling, setting up new cabinets and the power. After completing this task, we were to insert the cover at the side of the table.

Thursday Kiat Loon had something on, so Yee Ming and me worked. Now our tasks are mainly standard, inserting wirehangers, rubber feet and the covers. As they had to meet the dateline, the uncle asked us to do OT.

Friday was the last day, 85% of the office is ready just left installing of the tables done by the uncle.

A Total of 134 tables

6 brackets form 1 table
10 brackets form 2 tables
16 brackets form 4 tables

1 bracket needs 4 wire hangers
1 table has 12 wire hangers
2 tables have 20 wire hangers
4 tables have 44 wire hangers

1 bracket also has 4 rubber feet
4 tables have 44 rubber feet

6 covers also form 1 table
16 covers form 4 tables

SO for 134 tables,
How many brackets are needed
How many wire hangers are used
How many rubber feet are used
How many covers are used

Yesterday went to Daniel house to swim with Fusheng. After swimming, went to Daniel house to play his computer and him showing off his Mangerial tatical skills. We also watched a funny vcd about a security company dated in the 60s 70s. The show is damn funny we almost laughed our heads off. After watching we continued to play his computer and went to Tampines to have dinner. We ate Macdonalds and walked around. I can't remember when I last went to Tampines. Tampines Mall had changed slightly. There is now a Cafe cartel, Burger King and a watch shop. The Manutd merchandising shop is gone. We went to Century Square aracade and see people play games. We stood there for nearly 20mins. There is this challenger who was playing his final battle against a computer 350Z. HIS CAR IS A SOUPED 600 HORSES. After that we left for home.

Brotherhood

Sunday

Met up with Kai and his friends, Moon and June to watch Brotherhood at Plaza Sing. Before the movie, we went to eat at Long John. Saw Daniel and his friends when Kai was withdrawing his money.

More on the show

A story about the war between the South and North Koreans. The war which brought two brothers together and also the war which break them apart. A higly decorated nation hero turned into nation traitor because of fame.

A movie worth watching, will summarise the story.

In the begining they showed a group of archaeologists diggings a site where soldiers once fought, stood ground and died. They contacted an oldman to verify his brother's name

So the screen flashed back to 50 years ago. Two brothers, the elder makes and repair shoes while the younger is a student. Another guy works with his elder brother. Their dumb mon and elder brother's fiance mans a noodle stall.

One night, artillry strikes could be heard,so the family and other villagers fled for their lives to the railway station. Upon reaching there, this charted train is not for civilian use as a army general recruited all man between the age of 18-30 to board the train to fight at the borders. The elder brother was away looking for a pharmacy, while his younger brother was drafted. Fearing for his younger brother's safety he boarded the train. The tradition is to recruit 1 son from each family.

Upon reaching the borders, they were asked to stand ground and attack enemies without food and water. As the younger brother has a heart illness, the elder brother requested to be in the same company. The elder brother had requested for his other brother to be sent home due to his illness. The commander agreed on one condition, he must get a medal. Because of this desire to send his sick brother home, he had to accomplished dangerous missions.

As the war continued, the relationship between both brothers soured as the hunger for medals turned his elder brother to risk his life and become heartless. With the help of UN and US, they claimed many lands and was close to victory, so both of them and other south koreans can go home. The elder brother was also presented with a medal. The younger brother went back to their home and found his sister in law. Soon a group of anti-communist soldiers took both of them for questioning. In fact the sister in law was to be executed due to supporting the communists. All hell broke lose, when the brothers attempted to break through the prison and save her. In the end she was killed and the younger brother was captured but the elder brother escaped.

The elder brother wanted to rescue him brother, but the anti communist set fire in the prisons when their base were attacked. After finding a pen he gave to his younger brother, he assumed he was dead. The younger brother was actually saved by another teammate and was nursing in a hospital. At this time, his elder brother went berserk and joined the North Koreans leading the flag unit. Upon hearing this news, he pleaded his commander to talk to his elder brother to change opinon. The commander refused so he went secretly. There he could not find either the flag-unit or his brother. An attack took place, he saw his elder brother who couldn't recgonise him. His elder assured him to leave first while he killed the north koreans and later surrender to the south. While the younger escaped, his elder was killed.

The show ended with the old man finally found the remains of his elder brother with the pen. He broke down eventually.

The effects in the movie will not lose to any big hollywood productions.

Rating 4.5/5 MUST WATCH!

Happy Birthday Sister

Tuesday Ah Kai had an installation at Sim Lim Square and asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch as I also needed to get some CDRs. Met him at around 1145 then he went to did his installation while I just browsed around. Some of the shops are still not opened for business.

When to play some demo games at the shops. Soon Kai called to say he ended. Went the 6th floor to get 25 pcs of CDRs and went downstairs for lunch. He ordered Nasi Lemak and popiah while I ordered Suan La Mian. After our meal when the nearby shops to take a look at the watches. We wanted to get a pair of watch preferable G-shock for NS. Then went Bugis Casio to look at the shops, though they got more variety an avergage pair costs around $170. Went the model shop, Kinokuniya and left for home.

Today went down to Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2 to service my cordless phone. Checked their site and saw 88 from Ang Mo Kio interchange will reach the place. After reaching Ang Mo Kio bus interchange I DID NOT SEE THE DAMN 88. The bus driver bus 88 travels at the front of the mrt station which was some 400m away. It was already 4pm. Boarded the bus but didn't know where to alight. I stopped somewhere near the area and asked some people for the location, they also don't know.

Finally found the place, well their main door was servicing so I had to enter through the back door. This part looks like a storeroom size of a 3 room flat. Boxes of the cordless phone and handsets are stacked nicely. Some of the boxes had many discarded or spoilt handsets. A guy attended to me and told me to wait. Soon later a lady ushered me to the front door. Finally a waiting room that has a small counter, a large sofa for customers to sit and some newly released products. They are mainly dealing with cordless phones for home and office. My phone was ready and I left the place.

Took bus 72 which ended at Yio Chu Kang Mrt Station. On the way saw NYP. You can call me mountain tortise but it is Majestic. Took bus 70 home long journey around 1h. Reached home and found my back aching due to long journey on the bus. Around 1930 left for Parkway with my sister and mother to celebrate my sister birthday.

She wanted to eat "Earthquake" a type of icecream by Swensens. The last time I had Swensens was about 2 yrs ago when my poly year 1 friend gave me a surprise treat. The waiter ushered us to our seats. My sister ordered Crayfish Pasta, my mom ordered Curry Chicken Baked Rice and Chef's Salad while I ordered Chicken baked rice in white sauce. As my mother and I ordered Baked rice meals, we were given a complimentary free vanilla coke float. A glass of coke topped with vanilla icecream. They also had a promotion for birthday treat. A free complimentary icecream "Firehouse" consisting of vanilla, starwberry and chocolate icecream.

Crayfish Pasta - 1 Crayfish into half, topped with crabsticks and fish. Cooked with tomato pasta.

Finally the icecream came but we were too full to finish it. In the middle of the bowl was a banana with a candle attached on top. I footed the bill and expected to be around $50++. The receipt stated $48.65 including service charge and gst.

Ask the rich man to donate $10, they donate $2. Ask the poor man to donate $10, they donate $10

More than half in S'pore's lower class think the rich are looking down on them, says a recent survey. Do the less well-off hanker for being seen as high class?

THE rich man was asked to donate $10 to charity.

But he was willing to fork out only $2.

But when a poorer man was asked to donate, he gave the $10 without hesitation.

Mr Roslan Idros saw this happen.

And it was, in the 28-year-old storeman's opinion, a perfect example of an upper-class person exhibiting low-class behaviour.

Mr Roslan, who earns $1,100 a month and lives with his grandfather in a one-room flat, belongs to society's lower-income group.

According to the Census 2000 report, the median income among working people is $2,234, while the median household income from work is $3,607.

For the less well off, being upper-class means having it all - at least materially.

Mr Teng Poh Kong, who is unemployed, said: 'The rich can buy anything they want. They live in big houses, drive big cars and have lots of cash.

'For me, I even have problems with three meals a day.'

The 52-year-old said he cannot work as he has heart problems.

He lives in a one-room flat with his mother, who collects cans and cardboard boxes and does odd jobs for a living. Often, mother and son have to get by on less than $100 a month.

Mr Roslan agreed: 'For people like me, we must always budget. To buy a new handphone, I have to save for two months.'

Do the less well-off feel the rich and successful look down on them?

Mr Roslan seems to think so, even though he admits he has never been mistreated by the anyone from the upper class and he does not know of any upper-class people.

In my opinion the just rich people are stingy and I seen many of these people. They can spent few thousand on improving the in-car entertainment or modifications but not willing to spend a few hundred $ for a oil, brake on engine check. They may stay in big houses drive Mercedes but when ordering a plate of char keow tiao that costs $4 they complain expensive.

Shamless Acts of the rich

1) Rich parents driving Mercedes picking up their children at CDAC after tuition. The CDAC is setup to help poor and lower income families. Yet this rich are exploiting the cheap tuition fees.

2) Rich families fight with lower income people to collect free second hand books. These events are organised to help poor or lower income families to save $$ buying new book as they can use second hands. The Rich with so much $$ still had to and fight with the needy over books they could afford easily.

Some of my friends whose families financial status who are similar or better than me, we always treated each other though not an expensive meal. However those FUCKED UP RICH friends would go for an expensive meal with you and ask you to foot the bill first and PROMISED TO PAY BACK LATER BUT NEVER HAPPENED.

So what if you are rich when you are heartless and self-centered.

However we cannot sterotype them as the stingy lot are a minor percentage. It could also due to their parents upbringings.

Wherelse the very or super rich are very generous and charitable as few thousands meant nothing to them.

Shit I sprained my ankle in yesterday's game. I am now limping. Though the pain is not as excruciating as previous sprained incident, it is still PAIN. I can walk slowly but cannot run. Trying not to let my mother know I sprained my ankle lest let her worry.

I remember the days where I sprained my feet and fingers. She would bring to me a nearby physican. This physcian works from his home. He lives in those 1 room flat with his wife. He would asked me to sit down, checked the swollen areas before mixing the medicine. First he would PULL MY LEG so as to loosen the blood clot. IT HURTS LIKE HELL. I always cried until the neighbouring block could hear me. I would kick the poor old man. He would pull for around 10mins. Then he would apply a black mixture on my feet. PAIN again as the mixture is BOILING HOT. After he bandaged my feet, he gave my mum some medicine to ensure a speedy recovery. For a few days, went bathing, I had to wrap my feet in a few plastic bags to avoid contact with water.

Now the flat he stayed has been demolished. 2 years back I sprained my feet while playing soccer. Went to his house in Tampines for treatment. His son doesn't like the medicinal smell so advises his father not to treat people and rest at home. I wondered what can a western doctor do to heal a facture.

1)X-ray to see fracture bones
2) Does he pull your feet back into position?

at least doctors use anathestic less painful.
3) Plaster your feet to keep the bones in place?
4) Carry clutches for a few weeks?

5) Ask your friends to sign on your cast HAHHAHAHHAHA.

Blog for Sunday

Daniel called me on the phone to ask me about some computer problems. He had gone to setup a PC for his gf's brother and found out that the CPU fan not runing. I told him to bring the system back to the shop. Chatted for around past 1.5hrs. The last lengthy phone chat was with Kai when I setup my uncle PC.

After our chat ended. I saw Jack online in MSN. So I messaged asking him about how's life in Commandos. Was surprised that he was the buddy of Marcus my secondary school friend. After awhile went back to sleep as later noon I got soccer at Macpherson.

Took bus 135 at the stop after Grand Link and saw Kai board the same bus at Paya Lebar. On our way, we saw dark clouds not a very good sign. Reached the court to see Kiat Loon there only. So we decided to have breakfast or lunch at the market. Saw Chin Sin there also. Only Kai ate porridge. Soon later Sandi, Hsien Joo, Zhi Ming and Chong Kai arrived. There were playing a field match at Hougang. NABE DAMN FIT. We stopped game at around 4.30pm. Played only 3 rounds but was very fun lots of stupid stunts. I was defending a ball, when somebody kicked my feet and I immediately fall to the ground. I felt I sprained my ankle and I sat at the side watching them play.

After the game, Kai and I went to had a meal at Circuit Road. He ordered Yong Tau Foo while I ordered vegetarian Hor Fun. On the bus 40, we saw Guan Zhong with a girl.

Reached home shower and ate dinner. Wanted to watch the Jacky Wu "Zhong Ai WU Zong Xian"???. Switched channel and saw the NFK show. Previous years I did not watched or donated.

After looking at the heart-wrenching images, about kids can't stand, talk, hear, have to endure the tremedeous pain when large needles are stucked into their body ... I felt very fortunate to be in a healthy condition. Although I always lament to GOD why I am so short, ugly and poor. I called 2 times for the 1900 112 8833 hotline, not hopping to win any prizes but to help them. The performance done by Christoper Lee and Weng Qi Hai are very dangerous, playing with fire and blades.

Timothy sms me whether I wanted to play pool with Marcus and him. So I waited for him to pick me up while i watch tv. Watched Channel's U "Neng Luan Ren Jian Shi" Another sad story. Talking about this guy 21 years old had some problem with his body as his blood palatets are dangerously low. Though he may die anytime, his girlfriend stood by him throughout. He had an operation and recovered. He got married and became a father of his church and did voluntary work. 20 years later, he contracted Hepatis C may lead to hardening of liver. He lamented to God, 20 yrs ago i had to fight with death, after i recovered i followed your teachings, you still wanted me to fight death.

Marcus came, then we went Classic. He felt tired, so played a few games and left. Was talking about army life throughout. We then went Geylang to have tau huey.

Lazy to blog Saturday

Haven't been blogging for these few days.
Saturday.

Was supposed to play soccer with Tomi at St Wilfrid today. As I stepped out home, it started to rain heavily, so I decided not to go. Then helped my mum to search the whole house for an important letter. During the search, threw away many useless items.

So I decided to clean up my room. Threw out all the old and useless items and empty boxes. Cleared my cd-rack cleared most of the cds before year 2001 exception of "SPEED". If you are interested please buy those cds from me. Its in very good condition.

Then I put all my compter stuffs like manuals, installation cds and cables into my motherboard box. Cleared my digi cam box, by throwing all the non-english manuals. Panasonic packs my didgi cam box with 6 thick manuals. 2 English, 2 Chinese, 1 Russian? and 1 Arabic. Maybe they should save paper by asking providing the manual in cd form. However not many people have computers in other parts of the world.

Sorted out all my stationery which had been accumulated since primary school days. 1 holder for pencils and markers, another 1 for highlighters and rulers and lastly a big pencil box filled with pens.

At around 7pm, Tiong message me to ask whether I wanna eat smelly toufo at Geylang. I was reluctant as once I passed a Taiwan food fair at Orchard. The smelly was so unbearable. After some persuasion he told me to meet him at 11pm. Around 11 i reached the shop, I couldn't smell anything foul. Tiong and some of his platoon mates were there. So we ordered the smelly toufo, fried mantou, fried large intestines, rice wrapped in lotus leaf, a can of tiger and a lemon coke.

Now for the reviews of the food.
Smelly Toufo - Are you sure I am eating smelly toufo? When its served on our tables I don't smell anything. Its very crispy and the sauce provided is very nice. $2
Ratings: 2/5

Fried Mantou - Crispy Golden Brown Mantou. Though there is no fillings it tasted not bad. $1.60 for 2
Rating 3.5/5

Fried Large Intestines - Outside is crispy inside is chewy. Hopefully the intestines are washed well. No smell detected. $4
Rating 3/5

Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf - Seafood fried rice wrapped in leaves. There are mushroom, squid, prawns and meat not too bad. The rice had absorbed the fragrance of the Lotus leaf. $3
Rating 4.5/5

After we had our supper, his friends were going out places. So I accompanied Tiong to Aljunied to catch the last bus. Brother thanks for the treat. HAHA payday for NSF.

I feel lighter

Today went for haircut at Katong. Was rather busy as there many customers but 3 staff. I waited for quite long before its my turn. After my haircut, went to had Mee Siam and walked around. Did not know it was raining heavily until my mum called me. After the rain, did some groceries and went home.

Chatted with my friends on msn. Then saw my cousin Joanna online. I msged her and found out she went a tour 2 months ago with her friends. It was a 7 days travel including Taiwan and Hongkong. Its a promotion by Cathy Pacific. She spent a nearly of SDG $2000, well guessed most of the expenses were spent on shopping, girl's favourite pastime.
